Fulham Cemetery Friends are releasing Park-treemap, a free kit for "Friends of" groups to create their own tree map, usable on smartphone or desktop, with all tree data under their control.
↗️ Installation instructions: Park-treemap on Github
As part of our work to catalogue all Fulham Cemetery's trees, we created an interactive map at trees.fulhamcemeteryfriends.org.uk ↗️ that allows anyone, using their computer or phone, to view the locations of all the trees in the cemetery on a map, with photos. The trees can be filtered by scientific name, common name, and many other properties. It can be installed on your phone as an app.
Building on this, we are releasing park-treemap, a free kit that allows any "Friends of" group to map the trees in their park. In addition to all the above features, this also allows approved members to add trees and photos using their phone, when they're in the park. All tree data lives in a Google spreadsheet under their ownership.
Full installation instructions are on Github. Please contact us if you have any questions or need help installing or using it.
